Anthropologie has been my favorite store since I stepped foot in New York City back in 2000. It normally takes a lot for me to pass by without popping in and take in the new season’s stock. The store has started out with unique items from all over the world in the home, fashion, and intellectual categories and not much has changed. OK so I could not resist and I purchased something, however this something was mostly appealing to me because it was made in the USA. Sadly today that is unique in itself. 

My purchase was a subtle and tailored blazer, which has the potential to add a little something to every outfit. This alluringly Cartonnier purchase is well worth it for this girl on the go who also prefers a little luxury on her back.

I have also subdued to a great book, which I had bought as a gift for someone. Sorry, cannot tell you who just yet as their birthday has not passed. The book teaches even the most experienced hostess how to make Vintage Cocktails for her spoiled guests. I believe I have done off very well with my purchases and now I am ready for Spring time. Thank you Anthropologie, I am sure I will be back to visit very soon.

I dozed off most of the way to JFK and when I got into town I had one hour before I had to be at the huge Nigel Barker book signing event at Willoughby’s on 5th Avenue. Nigel Barker being a super star photographer known from the TV show America’s Next Topmodel and Willoughby’s being the oldest photo store in NYC attracted a lot of cool New Yorkers tonight. As a matter if fact I was quite surprised of the massive head count. I enjoyed the evening a lot and met many fun people. At one point I caught myself really really missing the city that never sleeps… However, I refrained from going to other parties and made it straight home. Now I will get some rest and I will see you tmro…

I shot a new online TV show in this mysterious mansion in Beverly Hills that definitely could have been haunted. I’m sure it is. My character always has wind in her hair where ever she goes. Meaning every scene I shot I had a fan smack in my face making my hair blow in all directions. Besides of the fact that it puzzled the other characters it felt very glamorous. Think about it! Where ever you go your hair floats romantically, fascinatingly around your face. Haha. Surreal yes and ”Hello 80′s!” Unfortunately I don’t have any shots from that day. However, I do have snap shots from yesterday night’s look and today’s couture shoot.

Last night was a shoot for a very cool NYC magazine called I Like My Style shot in the hills late at night with the only light coming from the head lights of cars. The story features ’10 young, up and coming actors/actresses to look out for’. I’m 1 out of the 10 so my picture features a mix of my own style blended with ideas of the super talented photographer/director Philip Buiser from Two Penguin Productions.

This morning I had to get up at crack of dawn to shoot Shekhar Rahate’s Haute Couture collection. He wanted Hollywood Boulevard as a backdrop, which for those of You who are familiar with the location, You can probably agree with me that this area brings out strong emotions of hate/love/anger/anxiety. It’s a madhouse on LSD. I kid you not! We shot between Michael Jackson imitations, Yodis, Marilyn Monroes, Zombies and regular Hollywood freaks, homeless and tourists. OMG what a trip! Now I’m completely wiped out. Tomorrow I have acting class and a meeting with a new exciting photographer whom I’m going to work with in near future.

I’m hitting my homework now. And with that I bid you goodnight from West Hollywood…

Fashion: I’m wearing my fave vintage Sunkist tee, my loving denim skirt from Object, a white fur coat from Veronique Leroy Paris, heels from Christian Dior and my vintage rings. Gotta love those big rings!

”Will you marry me? Maybe I can’t give you a diamond ring, but I can give you an union ring… You look so beautiful. Exactly like Cinderella on crack” … Riiight..! It’s hard to not give this fella a smile or two. He was very entertaining during most of the shoot. He even offered me his pink boa. How very valiant of him! When has a girl last been offered a boa? I know. It doesn’t happen often nowadays. I daresay, never. But I looked at my head piece and was like…. ”Hmm I think I have like 20 boas on my head right now, but thanks buddy!”

Posing on Elton John… haha. OMG that sounds random. But I’m quite sure EJ would fancy my headpiece. He’d probably even wear it with slippers sipping his morning tea, reading the paper…

As you probably know the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I got my mammogram done in June. When did you get yours done?

I lost a new, but very dear friend to breast cancer only 3 weeks ago. She was only 24. Words are not big enough to describe how unfair, insane and crazy that is. Such a young soul. It puts life into perspective.

And today, while walking in beautiful couture, I had several women come up to me saying that they are breast cancer survivors – so far….  Yes, that’s what they said. ‘So far…’

So without trying to preach anything I’m hoping that you will spread awareness in your circle of friends, peeps and relatives.

However, I got to the point where I actually managed to let go of the stress and regarded the moving situation in a more positive light. Just think about how much free exercise you get from moving. Fashion week is around the corner and cardio is not always on my menu. So a little running around couldn’t hurt. I’m just saying. And since the elevator in my old building decided to set out on the very day I moved, all my furniture, books, shoes, clothes, makeup, love letters (had to squeeze that one in he he. ..) etc. had to be carried by man force, which reads ‘moi’ yours truly and 2 Russian boys whom I met in the street while they were moving for somebody else. I bribed them to help me and by 11:30 pm and after a trip to Santa Monica to pick up a fridge the size of my Ford Bronco I think they despised the sight of me.

Walking 4 flights down with stuff and up again to pick up more gets tedious after a number of hours. Today I’m sooo over cardio again.

However, moving or not, cardio or no cardio I’m not over keeping certain ’situations’ in check and of course attending important meetings. So between my Russian moving setup I managed to attend my meetings, get the Brazilian wax situation done, and drink wine with friends on the floor in my new flat.

Today I’m completely beat, but I did make it to a fitting in Northridge for an amazing swimwear label. God, it’s been a while since I tried on a bikini that made my day. I tried on the whole collection of bikinis and swimsuits and by the end of the day I was ready to hit Blue Marlin, Ibiza or Club 55, Saint Tropez. More about this label later. It’s too good to miss out on

My newest fashion obsession is my purse and necklace from up and coming designer Melaine Auld. She is amazing! The light weight army coat is from Object and so is the knit top. Leather shorts are from Zara. A favorite Fall outfit of mine. No Doubt!
