I have seen way too many YouTube videos about anorexia lately and I cannot seem to stop thinking about all the girls/women out there who are struggling and suffering from anorexia or bulimia. Beauty=health+happiness. If you have neither then what is the point. Life is too fragile and precious to waste it away on what others think, live by your own rules and cherish your body like the temple it is. You only have ONE.

Model Filippa Hamilton was recently let go from her contact with Ralph Lauren with the claim that she has become too fat for their clothing. In a recent unreleased (except by a supposed mistake in Japan) ad her image was retouched to the point of unreal. This is unfortunately not the first or last time that a model is being scolded for being too large. It is a business after all, a business of selling women an image that they will probably never look like because it s not real. Fashion can be important and it is more definitely relevant, it does however have a certain responsibility to the young women out there who are watching and judging themselves with a critical eye.
I might not own 100s of Chanel bags but I love Chanel, the person that Coco Chanel was and what she represented. Mostly I am obsessed with Chanel’s costume jewelry, the more vintage the better. As a country girl at heart I could not be more pleased to see Chanel’s runway rolling in hay.The farm theme symbolized more of the Chanel’s good girl with a mysterious smirk and a secret life. Just take a look at the tattoos and tell me I am wrong. Plus I hear the roll in the hay with Baptiste Giabiconi was a pretty spectacle as well. After all, wrapping up (not to mention cleaning up the straw) a Chanel show cannot be easy. See photos & video
Even though I am not a fan of tattoos, branding Chanel can never be wrong. Tattoo Chanel details, Spring/Summer 2010
The who cares about the mainstream attitude has always been emphasized by Victor & Rolf and sadly it is only recently that I took notice. It could be the holes in the dresses or the sculpture like sleeves, but interestingly enough the label has made look twice after purchasing the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb fragrance. If you want to escape reality and enter into personal fashion fantasy, this one is for you. Go on to see the 2010 images and runway video.
As unbelievable as it seems that someone would chose Lindsay Lohan to be the creative energy behind any high-end label it did happen. At least I know I did not dream it. Emanuel Ungaro runway results have spoken for themselves. I just hope it was worth it. Next time if they seek a muse or as they call it ““electric shock treatment” I suggest seeking out someone with real passion for fashion, not just for expensive labels. I ask-Where does the target market client live and why the admiration for hearts?
Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection is sticking to their guns and showed more of the same, well with extra golden twists. I would not expect any less from the fashion crowd pleasing Christophe Decarnin. Balmain has had a revival since they crowned him the label’s designer and the world cannot seem to get enough of Balmain.
Milano-Francesco Scognamiglio star details and drama prevailed. The most interesting thing on the way were the masks, I would love to get my hands on those for a shoot.
