No matter what the trends dictate I will always love this look. This Spring you will most definitely be seeing the bangles piled on like no one’s business.  Designers decorated the model’s wrists with all kinds of colors and materials allowing us mere mortals to have a pick for ourselves.  When I think of bangles I think wooden bangles for a bohemian or an ethnic look. White bangles combined with a splashes of color for a modern look and for a night out I think deep colors with jewel encrusted details.  

I also love looking back in history and seeing the more things change, the more they stay the same. This trend, or dare I call it a classic, has been loved by almost everyone and I hope it never ever goes away.  There really are no rules to piling them on, however I would not go too crazy as your tanned and toned arms should be the one’s in the spotlight, not the accessories.  Depending your budget and of course taste there will be no shortage of bangles in the stores. If you plan on purchasing an investment piece that you feel will look great years from now go ahead and spend the money, however I recommend having some fun with it and mixing it up.  Sometimes the best treasures can be found in the most unexpected places.

When digging through your closet feeling hopeless and lost I believe it is the perfect time do some splurging, depression chic shopping that is.  These up to date and last year’s returning trends will make the cold months look much much better.  Well either that or you will make up a fast plan to move to a warmer state.  For now I chose to dream in Spring’s key pieces.

My favorite items on the menu are:

A vest, no matter what material or length it comes in, the options are endless

 Leather pants or shiny leggings

 Leather jacket, the edgier the better

 Statement earrings will be hanging from the ears of the trendiest girls, how big or sutle is up to you

Almost see through lightweight blouses and tank tops

Scarves in a bright colors, orange or yellow works

Whether you are vouching to forget the drama of 2008 or want to continue your fairy tale in 2009 these hot trends will help you execute those important missions you are on. Overall I would describe the Spring/Summer 2009 season as a sheer bouncy effortless luxury all executed with a glamorous assertiveness. 

It all starts with the handag, I usually work my wardrobe around it- A great structure is a must, looking rich without having it all is not a hard thing to do if you can appreciate quality.  The clutch is still the handbag to carry for Spring/Summer 2009.  Runways have also made the carry all oversized handbag look so easy you can practically carry your whole life in it.

Whether you like it or not shoes are going skyscraper high. You will appear a lot taller but your feet might not thank you for it.  This is a favorite for the girl who loves to wear heels and I am one of them.  Designers did not skip on the details either, chunky platforms or delicate details it is all about the leather texture and surprising embellishments. 

Slouchy style will finally make at least some part of you comfortable and feeling as if you have not a care in the world.  Enjoy the breeze girls.

Sheer fabrics for blouses and even dresses will prove to be a great asset for a night out.  Ladies, remember to keep it classy not over-exposed.

Light leather in the warm weather has never looked so chic.  It will add a certain daring edge that will make the boys look twice. 

Chunky and bold jewelry is not going anyplace and I could not be more happier.  It lets you express yourself and show to the world that you are fun but classy without wearing boring stuffy pieces.   

Colors of the season are orange and yellow.  Florals are not going to die and bright purples along with electric blue are still safe so wear the coming season.

Jewel-encrusted assambles has been around for quite some time, but this season they are definitely prevelant on the runways with subtle decoration or head to toe shine.  Quality is key with these pieces. 

On an end note I do hope those stupid headbands are replaced by these glamorous hats. Are you over him yet? Ciao
