Overall I would describe the Spring/Summer 2009 season as a sheer bouncy effortless luxury all executed with a glamorous assertiveness. 

It all starts with the handag, I usually work my wardrobe around it- A great structure is a must, looking rich without having it all is not a hard thing to do if you can appreciate quality.  The clutch is still the handbag to carry for Spring/Summer 2009.  Runways have also made the carry all oversized handbag look so easy you can practically carry your whole life in it.

Whether you like it or not shoes are going skyscraper high. You will appear a lot taller but your feet might not thank you for it.  This is a favorite for the girl who loves to wear heels and I am one of them.  Designers did not skip on the details either, chunky platforms or delicate details it is all about the leather texture and surprising embellishments. 

Slouchy style will finally make at least some part of you comfortable and feeling as if you have not a care in the world.  Enjoy the breeze girls.

Sheer fabrics for blouses and even dresses will prove to be a great asset for a night out.  Ladies, remember to keep it classy not over-exposed.

Light leather in the warm weather has never looked so chic.  It will add a certain daring edge that will make the boys look twice. 

Chunky and bold jewelry is not going anyplace and I could not be more happier.  It lets you express yourself and show to the world that you are fun but classy without wearing boring stuffy pieces.   

Colors of the season are orange and yellow.  Florals are not going to die and bright purples along with electric blue are still safe so wear the coming season.

Jewel-encrusted assambles has been around for quite some time, but this season they are definitely prevelant on the runways with subtle decoration or head to toe shine.  Quality is key with these pieces.

Although I seem to have missed this piece of news it should not surprise anyone.  When having a closer look at the Spring 2009 fashion shows yellow was taken down the runway as if it was going out of style. The color is one of my favorite, however it seems overdone to me.  Regardless of what I think it has been named the color of Spring/Summer 2009 by Pantone, who is the global authority on color.  PANTONE(R) 14-0848, Mimosa is a very warm hue which just might represent the ever needed sun for the fashion community and the world after a very hopeless fall/winter.  I would not dare to wear it now as it might be too bright.
